Analisis Penawaran Jasa Pendidikan oleh Perguruan Tinggi Swasta di Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the supply of educational service of private university in North Sumatra, which influenced buy the number of lecturers, tuition fee, and accreditation to the number of study programs in the private universities in North Sumatra. This research is using primary data those are collected from the field. Sample size are 20 % of the 186 private universities in North Sumatra. The methods used Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Based on the estimation result from 41 private universities in North Sumatra found that the number of study programs of private universities in North Sumatra is influenced by the number of lecturers, tuition fee and accreditation level. The result shows that the number of lecturers, tuition fee negatively statistically not significant influence on study program, while accreditation level significantly influenced at a l % level.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penawaran jasa pendidikan oleh Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PTS) di Sumatera Utara, yaitu pengaruh faktor jurnlah dosen, uang kuliah, dan akreditasi terhadap program studi PTS di Sumatera Utara. Untuk tujuan analisis tersebut digunakan data primer yang bersumber dari sampel sebesar 20 % dari populasi sebanyak 186 PTS di Sumatera Utara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Berdasarkan basil estimasi dari 41 PTS di Sumatera Utara, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa program studi PTS di Sumatera Utara dipengaruhi oleh faktorfaktor seperti jumlah dosen, uang kuliah dan akreditasi. Jumlah dosen dan uang kuliah berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan, sedangkan akreditasi berpengaruh signifikan pada tingkat signifikansi ( a 1 % ).
