dc.description.abstractThe manufacturing process of agricultural crops into a foodstuffs is an interesting thing to be known. It appeared that many agricultural crops that has been processed further become more economics value than before. One of the fabricated process is grating. The aim of this reserch was to design, build, and test the fabricated cassava grater, conducted in June 2010 to September 2010 at the Laboratory of Agriculture Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, by literature study, experiment, observation, and testing of the equipment. The parameters observed were effective capacity and percentage of material not grated. The result of the research showed that the effective capacity of the equipment was 36,74 kg/hr with 5,33% materials not grated.en_US
