dc.description.abstractIBNUH SYAHNI R: Design and construction of corn grater, supervised by ACHWIL PUTRA MUNIR and SAIPUL BAHRI DAULAY. Corn grating is reduction of the size of the corn into granules with a certain degree of thickness to be more easily processed into cattle fodder. This research was aimed to design, innovate, test and analyze the economic value of corn grater. Parameters observed were the effective capacity of the equipment, percentage of damaged corn, and economic analysis. Based on this research, it was summarized that the effective capacity of the equipment was 40,82 kg/hour and the damaged corn percentage was 10%. The economic analysis was as follows: basic costs for the first to the fifth year were Rp. 360,12 / kg, Rp. 361,41 / kg, Rp. 361,56 / kg, Rp. 362,36 / kg dan Rp. 363,22 / kg respectively. The break even point was 8662,52 kg / year. The net present value was Rp. 42.574.847,2. The internal rate of return was 47,62%en_US
