Abstract

This research is a study of channel roughness values at three different tertiary canal irrigation network in the village cryo sei Sei Rice Sekata Sunggal District of Deli Serdang regency. This study was conducted to determine how big the constant rudeness and chezy manning the three channels studied by measuring the average velocity of water flow, and the channel width and channel slope will know how big the obstacles that occur in the third channel. Research shows value of roughness that is different on all three channels, the channel roughness values manningnya tertiary 1 chezy 0.0462 and 13.78; Tertiary channel 2 value of 0.0387 and chezy manningnya roughness and to channel tertiary 15.98 3 0.0574 manningnya roughness values and chezy 11.38. Factors such as the building block of the channel wet surfaces; The physical properties of the soil in the channel; Irregularity of the channel; Vegetation growing in the channel and scour and deposition factor in greatly affect the size of the channel roughness values in the channel, where the condition Factors studied in each channel is different roughness values resulting in three different distinct channel too.
