SONDANG R. PARHUSIP: Effectiveness Test of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal on The
Seedlings Growth of Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria), Acacia (Acacia mangium)
and Suren (Toona surenii) on Marginal Land, guided by DELVIAN and DENI
ELFIATI.
The objective of this research was to test the effectiveness of arbuscular
mycorrhizal on the growth seedlings of sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria), Acacia
(Acacia mangium) and Suren (Toona surenii) by adduction arbuscular mycorrhizal
fungi (AMF) with different doses. The research was conducted in the green house of
the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatera Utara. This research used a
factorial completely randomized design with 2 factors that mycorrhizal doses (0 g /
seed, 10 g / seed, 20 g / seed, and 30 g / seed) and spesies (sengon, acacia, and
suren). The parameters measured were plant height, stem diameter, leaves number,
root colonization percentage, total dry weight, root crown ratio and P absorption in
the canopy.
The results showed that the interaction between doses of mycorrhizal and
spesies of plants significantly affect to percentage average increase in diameter and
root colonization. The use of AMF significantly affect to height, diameter, leaves
number, root colonization percentage, and total dry weight but did not significantly
affect to the ratio of crown roots and P absorptions. Different spesies of plants
showed a different growth. The b
