| dc.description.abstract | SAMUEL HAPOSAN NAPITUPULU: Design of flat burr type coffee bean grinder
mill , supervised by SAIPUL BAHRI DAULAY and ADIAN RINDANG.
Milling is done to reduce size or to powder food material into a certain
level of refinement to be more easily processed into other products. Grinding
coffee beans aims to reduce size the beans into coffee powder with a certain
subtlety to be easily brewed and gives the sensation of taste and aroma that is
more optimal. The aims of the was to design, build and test coffee bean grinder
flat burr type mill on robusta coffee. Observed parameters were the effective
capacity of the equipment, the percentage of losses materials, and economic
analysis.
The results showed that the effective capacity of the equipment was 5.00
kg/hour for robusta coffee. Losses robusta coffee was 1.112%. Economic Analysis
was Rp. 1.074,25/kg, the BEP was 2.748,91 kg/year for coffee robusta. The NPV
16% was Rp. 6.147.021,25 and the NPV 20% was Rp. 5.397.751,98. The IRR was
52,81 %. | en_US |
