Peran Kelompok Tani Kopi dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Produksi dan Pemasaran (Studi Kasus Kelompok Tani Kopi Permata Sari di Desa Bukit Sari, Kecamatan Kabawetan, Kabupaten Kepahiang, Bengkulu)
Abstract
Coffee is one of the plantation commodities that has high economic value.
Coffee not only plays an important role as a source of foreign exchange, but is
also a source of income for no less than one and a half million coffee farmers
in Indonesia, including in Bukit Sari Village. This village is also known as a
producer of Luwak Legend Coffee Powder, Sintaro, Robusta and Arabica with
premium quality. The method used in this research is descriptive with a
qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by
observation, in-depth interviews and relevant literature studies. The purpose of
this study was to identify and interpret the roles and problems of the Farmer's
Group in increasing coffee production and marketing. The technique for
determining informants is purposively by interviewing 11 informants, namely
10 key informants and 1 additional informant. The result of this research is that
the Farmers Group plays a very important role in increasing the production and
marketing of coffee, especially in terms of increasing the production and joint
marketing of coffee products from its members. Permata Sari Coffee Farmers
Group In Bukit Sari Village, Kabawetan District, the role in increasing coffee
production and marketing is as a learning forum that provides a place for regular
group members to meet, as a place for group discussions, as a place for training
activities, comparative studies and social interaction. A cooperative
organization that plays a role in collaborating between group members and
other groups, jointly producing and selling, partnering with other parties,
partnering with local governments, partnering with BUMDES (Village Owned
Enterprises) and partnering with regional financial bodies or cooperatives , and
production units that facilitate, provide and assist production facilities and
infrastructure.
