on self-efficacy and HOTS reading literacy, and 3) conclude wether self-efficacy
can be a predictor of Indonesia student’s HOTS reading literacy. This study used
secondary data based from the 2018 PISA report. The reasearch method used in
this study is a quantitative method with a simple linear regression analysis
method. The results showed that: 1) the majority Indonesian students have self efficacy in medium category and the majority of Indonesian students have HOTS
reading literacy in low category, 2) the research hypothesis is not accepted, self efficacy cannot be a predictor of increasing Indonesian student’s HOTS reading literacy.
