Hours Per Patient Day Care (Nursing Hours Per Patient Day, NHPPD) is the nursing work load control and measurement systems that provide instructions for the number of nurses needed to service standards in specific clinical areas. NHPPD aims to calculate the number of hours of direct nursing care is needed in patients and as a framework to build a list of nursing. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the application NHPPD on patient satisfaction patient wards at private hospitals. This research uses descriptive correlational design, with a sampling technique using simple random sampling. The sample is amounted to 44 patients, but only 33 patients were analyzed. Test the hypothesis by using the Pearson product moment correlation test. The results showed that as many as 30 people (90.9%) patients had fulfilled NHPPD. Patient satisfaction is in the category were as many as 20 people (60.6%) and high satisfaction category as many as three people (39.4%). Correlation analysis p value less than α where pvalue 0481 and α = 0.05, while the strength of the correlation (r) = -0127, this indicates that there is no connection between the application NHPPD on patient satisfaction. The conclusion from this study that there was no relationship between NHPPD application to patient satisfaction. NHPPD excellent method applied in each hospital in accordance with the principles that guide NHPPD nursing services increases so that patient satisfaction can be improved.
