dc.description.abstractThe development of manufacturing companies is influenced by human resources (HR) who have professional abilities from the HR division line managers. The low level of expertise and level of rigidity of HR division line managers in implementing work causes a decrease in the quality and incompetence of the ability to work optimally in the company's management. The development of manufacturing companies conducted by line managers in the HR division can be realized by developing managerial competence, commitment, innovation capability, readiness for change and performance achievement. This study used synthesis to find a new variable, namely 'Human Resources Professional Transformation’ which can be applied to the Medan City Manufacturing Company. Human Resources Professional Transformation is the ability of line managers of the HR division to make adaptive changes to the division's business-oriented functions. The population in this study were the HR division line manager, totaling 185 respondents. The sampling technique used a probability sampling approach with simple random sampling through the slovin formula, totaling 126 respondents. The analysis tool used is structural equation software with SmartPLS program. The results of the study proved that Managerial Competence, Commitment, Innovation Capability have a significant and positive effect of the HR Professional Transformation and the Line Managers Performance in the HR Division, while Readiness for Change has no significant and positive relationship towards HR Professional Transformation and the HR Division Line Managers Performance. The results of this study also proved that the HR Professional Transformation has a significant effect and positive relationship to the Line Managers Performance in the HR Division.en_US
