This research aims are to test and analyze directly the influence of the compensation, the organization culture and the Islamic work ethic on the lecturer job satisfaction, the organization commitment and the lecturer performance In addition to test and analyze the influence of compensation, the organization culture and the Islamic work ethic on the performance of the lecturers through job satisfaction and the organization commitment as well as to test and analyze the influence of compensation, the organization culture and Islamic work ethics on the organization commitment through job satisfaction. This research conducted at Private Islamic University in Medan (UMSU and UMN). The population of research is the whole of the Private Universities lecturers who owned by Yayasan Islam (Islamic Organization) which numbered 295 lecturers. Sampling techniques in this research conducted with saturated samples which is the whole population as the sample. To analyze the data used The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) from the statistical software package LISREL 8.80. The results of the study showed that compensation, the organization culture and the Islamic work ethic have a positive and significant impact on the job satisfaction. the compensation have no significantly impact on the organization commitment. The organization culture and the Islamic work ethic have a significantly positive effect toward the organization commitment. Job satisfaction have a significantly positive effect toward the organization commitment and the performance of lecturers. Compensation, the organization culture and Islamic work ethics have a significantly positive effect on the performance of the lecturers. The organization commitment have a significantly positive effect on the performance of the lecturers. Compensation, the organization culture and Islami work ethics have no significantly affect on the organization commitment through job satisfaction. Compensation and the organization culture have a significant impact on the performance of the lecturers through job satisfaction, while the Islamic work ethic have no significant impact on the performance of the lecturers through job satisfaction. Job satisfaction have no a significant influence on the performance of the lecturers through the organization commitment. Compensation have no a significant influence on the performance of the lecturers through throug the organization commitment. While the organization culture and the Islamic work ethic have a significant influence on the performance of the lecturers through the organization commitment.
