dc.description.abstract | ARIFIN TAMBA: Performance Test of Subsurface Drip Irrigation System with Several Orifice Formation Patterns on Entisol Soil in Verticulture, supervised by SUMONO and NAZIF ICHWAN. Orifice formation pattern on irrigation pipe will affect its water distribution and then will determine its performance level. This research was done in October-November 2011 in Agricultural Engineering Laboratory, College of Agriculture, USU, Medan using irrigation pipe with 3 directions, 4 directions and spiral orifice formation pattern. Parameters measured were Entisol soil physical characteristic, water’s rate of flow, wetting pattern, irrigation water requirement channelization and irrigation efficiency. The results showed that irrigation pipe with 3 directions orifice formation pattern had the best perf | en_US |
