DINDA PUSPA SARI : Performance Study of Drip Irrigation on Andosol Soil
with Caisim (Brassica juncea L.). cultivation, supervised by SUMONO and
NAZIF ICHWAN.
Drip irrigation is a more economic method in distributing the water of
caisim plant. This research is aims to study the drip irrigation performance on
Andosol soil with cultivation of caisim plant (Brassica juncea L.). The parameter
which is observed is the character of the soil physics, evapotranspiration,
percolation, emission uniformity, use of water and the save of water efficiency,
wet weight and dry weight of caisim plant.
Sanded clay textured andosol soil, evapotranspiration on the growth first
fase 0,72 mm/day, on the middle fase 1,92 mm/day and on the last fase 0,96
mm/day. The highest percolation 2,65 mm/day on the growth middle fase on the
palnted soil and the lowest 1,11 mm/day on the growth last on the non planted
soil. The number of emission uniformity is 90,22 %. Efficiency of the highest use
of water in the growth last fase on the soil without plant is 35,54 % and efficiency
of the lowest is in the growth middle fase on the palnted soil is 13,96 %.
Efficiency of saving is 100 % on the growth middle fase and the last one. The wet
weight of caisim palnt is 129,5 g while the dry weighted of caisim palnt is 7,83 g.
