dc.description.abstract | NANDA AKBAR SIREGAR: Study The Permeability of Some Soil Types in Field
Trials USU Kwala Bekala Through Laboratory Tests and Field, under
supervision of SUMONO dan ACHWIL PUTRA MUNIR.
Soil permeability is the ability to pass water in saturated conditions. Some
types of soil in field trials USU Kwala Bekala have different permeability rate. It
is caused by several factors including texture, organic matter content, porosity
and effective depth of soil. Measurement of soil permeability is very important to
some interest in agriculture, such as the entry of water into the soil, water
movement to plant roots, and the flow of drainage water. Thus necessary to study
more about the permeability. This study aimed to determine the value of some
types of soil permeability rate through laboratory and field testing.
Of the results of research in the laboratory permeability values obtained
rate of 1,34 cm/hr at ground Andepts, 3,20 cm/hr at ground Inceptisol, and 1,06
cm/hr at ground Ultisol. Of the results of research in the field permeability values
obtained rate of 1,26 cm/hr at ground Andepts, 2,23 cm/hr at ground Inceptisol,
and 0,98 cm/hr at ground Ultisol. | en_US |
