Abstract

YULI NOERSALIM :design of pineapple peeler machine (pineapple peeler),supervised by ACHWIL PUTRA MUNIR and AINUN ROHANAH During this time,peeling pineapple fruit is known only through manual tools by kitchen knife. However, lately has begun to be developed in the form of the pineapple peeler toolwith manually press by using human operators power. With the development of science and technology (IPTEK) in this modern age, as human beings that have the potential to think will always develop it and trying to create or make a new one, more efficient equipment and practical that can help even replacing human power with the agricultural machinery. Therefore through the design of this research, the author seeks to ease job in peeling the skin of pineapple by means of designing a pineapple peeler machine which has a larger capacity and without the use of human power to be effective and efficient in peeling the pineapple. This pineapple peeler machine working with principles that pineapple fruit are embedded in the blade player who spins the pineapple fruit and withheld by the retaining lever, then the blades that have been mounted on a holder will come down to peel pineapple fruit and suited to its size. This machine can peel all kind of pineapple fruit-size in ripe conditions. The capacity of this pineapple peeler machineis 255,61 kg/hour.
