dc.description.abstractLake Toba is a lake that is used as farming land. Net floating cage system of fish farming activities in the Lake Toba has been done by the public since 1986, but the rapid development of KJA occurred since 1998 through the intensive cultivation net high fish density. This study aims to analyze potential areas for net floating cage ini Lake Toba Girsang Sipangan Bolon, Simalungun by the suitability matrix method. This research is using the scorring method/weighting. Determination of weighting and scoring is done to put a value on criteria that support the farming activities by linking the chemical physical parameters. These parameters include temperature, DO, pH, brightness, lake current, depth, BOD, and ammonia. The results showed that the suitability grade in Lake Toba Girsang Sipangan Bolon is very suitable and appropriate class. This shows the area is a potential are for net floating cage. There are 5 stations with the appropriate class and the other class 15 is very appropriateen_US
