dc.description.abstract | Siombak Lake is an artificial lake formed as a result of sand dredging
activity in an area formerly known as Sand Paya and the lake is also influenced by
the tides due to the location of the lake is not far from the coastal region. Siombak
Lakes ecosystem stability can be in the review of information about the structure
of nekton communities that live in the lake Siombak. Biological resources in the
region have an important role in order to function naturally Siombak lake can be
maintained.
This study aims to determine the physical and chemical conditions in the
Lake Siombak and to determine the structure of nekton community. This study
uses primary data obtained from the results of sampling from May to July 2014.
The data is data nekton species composition and abundance, as well as water
quality data as a supporter. Data were analyzed with a diversity index, uniformity
index, dominance index, and Pearson correlation analysis method. The results
showed there were 7 of the Ordo, of which 6 ordo of fish and 1 ordo of types of
shrimp. Fish Slinding (Ambassis uroatenia) is a fish that is caught at most in the
amount of 237 birds and 64% relative abundance.
Diversity nekton in Lake Siombak including being (to be in the range of 1
to 3) that is equal to 1.07. General dominance index values approaching 0 is 0.54.
It shows that almost no species dominates. Value uniformity tends approaching 0
is equal to 0.48. The figure shows the spread of the number of individuals of each
type is not the same.
Siombak polluted lake water conditions are, the waters of Lake Siombak
can be allocated to infrastructure/water recreation facilities, freshwater fish
farming, animal husbandry, water to irrigate landscaping, and or other designation
similar to these purposes. In accordance with the results of the Pearson
Correlation Analysis. Pearson correlation analysis showed that temperature,
turbidity, pH and BOD5 have a negative correlation or have a relationship that is
not in line with the diversity nekton while salinity, DO, brightness and depth has a
positive correlation or have the unidirectional relationship with Nekton. | en_US |
