Rancang Bangun Alat Pemarut Kelapa Tipe Screw

Abstract

Domen Sitohang : Design of Screw Type Coconut guiter supervised by ACHWIL PUTRA MUNIR and LUKMAN ADLIN HARAHAP. In improving agricultural production, that including pre- to post-harvest facilities and infrastructure, require, effective agricultural tools and machines. This research was aimed to design and test screw type coconut grater using coconut new materil. This study was conducted in February 2016 until March 2016 at the Laboratory of Agricultural Engineering Study Program of Agricultural Engineering Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra, Medan. The parameters observed were the effective capacity of the tool,ungrated percentage of copra, percentage of remaining copra and economic analysis. The results should that the effective capacity was 60.606 kg / h, the percentage of ungrated material was 1.3%, the percentage of copra were left was 1.7% and the value of economic analysis for the cost of goods in the first year was Rp191,060 and in the fifth year was Rp 193.458, break even point (BEP) was 699.744 kg in the first year and 871.458 kg in the fifth year, and the value of Net present value (NPV) was 7.5%, the value internal rate of return (IRR) was 25.4%
