Tilapia fish farming in ponds greatly affects the mechanisms of disease outbreaks because of the environmental manipulation, the balance between the host and the disease-causing bacteria will be disturbed and unstable. The research was conducted in July – September 2016. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential bacterial pathogens contained in tilapia and the interrelationship of environmental conditions with the presence of potential bacterial pathogens in tilapia. Isolation and purification of bacteria from fish samples conducted at the Fish Quarantine, Quality Control and Safety of Fishery Class I Medan I and identification of bacteria is done using the Vitek 2 Compact in hospital laboratories. The results obtained that there are five types of bacteria that infect tilapia is Kocuria kristinae and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia found in the brain, Aeromonas hydrophila on the liver, Staphylococcus lentus in the kidneys and Staphylococcus warneri on the skin. The value of water quality measurements such as temperature 32oC, pH 6.9 and DO of 2.96 mg / l.en_US
