KHOIRUDDIN DALIMUNTHE, 2014: “Utilization Of Oil Palm Frond (OPF)
Fermented By varian level of Biomol+ In The Feed On Local Male Sheep Weight
Non Carcass” Under Supervised by MA`RUF TAFSIN and ARMYN HAKIM
DAULAY.
This study aimed to examine the effect of utilization (OPF) fermented by
level Biomol+® in the feed on local male on non carcass weight of local sheep.
The experiment was conducted at the Laboratory of animal biology, Animal
Husbandry Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatra Utara in
December through March 2014 using 12 weaning local male sheep with an
average initial body weight 7.14 ± 0,6 kg. The design used in the study was a
completely randomized design (CDR) with 4 treatments and 3 replications and
further analysis by least significant difference (LSD). The treatments consist of
level Biomol+ 0% (P0), 5% (P1), 10% (P2), 15% (P3). The variables were
observed consist of realif organ weight outside and reatif organ weight in.
The result showed that treacment had. Hight diffent on relative weight
skin, rumen, omasum, abomasum (P < 0,01), diffent duodenum, cecum, colon and
ileum (P < 0,01). Converbely had no significant effect on head, feet, liver, spleen,
trachea and lungs, heart, oshopagus, reticulum, jejunum and rectum (P > 0,05).
The conclusions that can be drawn from of this study is the use of fermented palm
frond with Biomol+ level 15% of the total ration gives a good effect to skin,
rumen, abomasums and cecum because it can non carcass Local male sheep.
