Naborsahan River is one of the few rivers that become the inlet to the
waters of Lake Toba. The river plays an important role in the ecosystem,
especially for fish life of bilih (Mystacoleucus padangensis Bleeker). In line with
the function of the river, especially the activity of catching fish bilih very
dominant in this river that threatened the fish population. In addition to the
pressure from fishing, fish declining populations of bilih can be also caused due to
the availability of natural food in the river Naborsahan are closely related to the
physico-chemical factors of the river. The results showed that the organism is
becoming fish food bilih phytoplankton species from the genus Synedra most
dominant based sampling stations, class size and sex of fish bilih. Measurement
results of physico-chemical factors showed that station 2 is the station with the
greatest population Synedra is equal to 1.375 ind / L.
