ADITIA TRI SUSANTI, 2016 “Utilization of Apu-Apu (Pistia
stratiotes) In rations Against Carcass Weights At Peking Ducks 1-8 weeks age”.

This study aimed to examine the effect of the apu-apu flour rations toward
slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and abdominal fat percentage
at the age of 1-8 weeks peking duck. This research was conducted at the
Laboratory Animal Sciences animal production science courses Faculty of
Agriculture, University of North Sumatera. Rations used was completely
randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. T0 : 0 , T1 : 5% , T2 :
10%, T3 : 15%. The variable measured were slaughter weight, carcass weight and
carcass percentage and abdominal fat.
The results showed the greatest apu-apu flour use of starch in the ration
give effect to the slaughter weight and carcass percentage while on carcass weight
and abdominal fat no effect.
