Temporary teachers are hired with the aim of covering the shortage of teaching staff, using their status as non-permanent teachers. The problems they face while being honorary teachers are the problem of wages that are not in accordance with what they are entitled to receive and also obstacles to their status as employees.This research was conducted to see the gratitude of honorary teachers. This research uses descriptive quantitative method with multistage sampling approach. This study used the Likert scale, which is the Adult Version of Gratitude Scale which consisting of 15 items with 3 dimensions of gratitude, which are cognitive, affective, and conative based on Watkins theory (2014). The subjects involved in the study numbered to 104 people who are honorary teachers in Kotanopan District. The results of this study indicate that 82 people (78.84%) of the 104 honorary teachers have moderate gratitude characteristics, as many as 22 (21.15%) of 104 honorary teachers have high gratitude characteristics, and none of the honorary teachers have low levels of gratitude.
