dc.description.abstractIn the distribution of irrigation water through tertiary canal which is canal ground water loss can occur, through evapotranspiration, percolation, and seepage of the canal, thereby effecting the efficiency distribution of water. And occur difficulty in determining an accurate value of the seepage coefficient as a factor in the loss of water. This research was aims to analyze the value of the discharge coefficient based canal seepage and water loss factors using empirical formulas in two tertiary canal in the Sei Beras Sekata village, irrigation area Medan Krio, Sunggal district of Deli Serdang. The results showed seepage coefficient in the right edge of canal 1 is 8899.2 mm / day, the left edge of canal 1 is 26697.6 mm / day, the right edge of canal 2 is 78796.8 and the left edge of canal 2 is 23241.6 mm / day . Efficiency on canal 1 at 73.93% and 71.03% for canal 2.en_US
