Orange is one of the fruits that most preferred by the community because of its freshness, vitamins and minerals. Orange is traded and grouped according to size and color. To obtain a uniform fruits, sorting through size and quality is needed. The aims of this study was to test the slope of the channel of the orange gravity type sorting equipment using a non factorial completely randomized design with parameters : instrument effective capacity, fruit damage, uniformity and class percentage. The results indicated that different slope gives no effect on the capacity, uniformity and fruit damage. The conclusion was that the slope of 110 was the optimum one.en_US
