dc.description.abstract | Mangroves serve as a habitat for organisms that are present in it, one of
which is Molluscs. The abundance and diversity of molluscs are very dependent
on the power of tolerance to environmental changes. This research was aimed to
analyze density of Molluscs and how a relation with density of mangrove in the
Village of Pulau Sembilan. This research is done in Maret to April 2016. The
study used purposive random sampling method by taking and observation of
mangrove vegetation and density of molluscs and measurement of water quality
parameters. Data analysis included analysis of mangrove vegetation, analysis of
Molluscs, analysis of water quality and analysis of the substrate. Found 9 species
of Molluscs at the research site are Nerita balteata has the highest composition of
32%. Chicoreus capucinus 25%, Cerithidea cingulata 24%, Littorina
melanostoma 7%, Littorina scabra 4%, Cerithidea obtusa and Telescopium
telescopium have the same compsition that is equal to 3%. Nassarius dorsatus
2% and Pugilina cochilidium 0%. The relationship between the density of
mangrove species to the density of Molluscs in Pulau Sembilan indicated by the
equation y = 0,022x - 59.77 with R 2 of 0.851 and r = 0.922. From the analysis
ANOVA test counted the F value of 548.318 and F table is of significant value of
0.00001 7.708 (p <0.05). | en_US |
