Koi (Cyprinus carpio) is one type of fish that can be cultivated to serve as
ornamental fish. As ornamental fish, koi fish that have beautiful and bright colors
can be high value. Color is one of the reasons ornamental fish demand by the
public, so farmers need to retain the color of ornamental fish that is by giving feed
containing color pigments. Efforts are being made to obtain a uniform color
enhancement in fish is adding pigment into the feed source. Natural pigment
source may be obtained from flour carrot (Daucus carota L). The purpose of this
study was to determine the dose of carrot flour that can enhance the color of koi
fish. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with three
replications, with dose treatment 0%, 1%, 3%, and 5% for 30 days. The addition
of carrot flour through the feed can enhance the color in koi fish. Giving carrot
flour with a dose of 5% produces a brighter color than the other doses. Carrots
Flour Addition on the feed had no effect on weight and length growth of Koi fish.
