Coast region constitute appointment room between continent and ocean.
Coast region constitute unique region ecological because this region have natural
resources potency which can be developed as tourism area. The coast region part
that most productive is beach. One of the coast region part which is not developed
as tourism area is Talugawu Beach at North Nias Regency. Therefore, need to do
an analysis by looking at the existing conditions at the beach such as conditions of
community social economy, conditions of coastal natural resources and the other
conditions.
Analysis which is used in this research is descriptive analysis, community
participation analysis and policy analysis. Descriptive analysis is done by direct
observation at the field, community participation analysis is done by direct
interview to society around the coast, and policy analysis is done by SWOT
analysis. Talugawu beach have an attractive natural beauty, so that the guest have
an interested to come to the beach. From the results of questionnaire, the
community around the Talugawu beach has a fairly high involvement in the
development of Talugawu beach tourism potential. From the result of SWOT
analysis, obtained that Talugawu beach so far is not developed as tourism area
because lack of human resources or experts, lack of fund or cost from the
government in the development of tourism potential at Talugawu beach, as well as
inadequate infrastructure and facilities.
