Pengaruh Padat Tebar terhadap Laju Pertumbuhan Ikan Redfin (Epalzeorhynchos frenatum) yang Dipelihara dengan Sistem Resirkulasi

Abstract

Redfin fish is one of an interesting ornamental fish. Intensive cultivation can be done by optimizing the stocking density. This reasearch aims to determine the effect of stocking density of redfin fish (E. frenatum), with water recirculation system maintenance media on the growth and survival rate, and determine the optimum stocking density with an average length is 5,04 cm and an average weight is 1,01 gram. Redfin are used as much as 162 fishes and maintenance container used are 9 aquariums with size 40 cm x 20 cm x 20 cm and the volume water are 12 liters each aquarium have, which are arranged in a recirculation system and is equipped with a filter and sump basin tubular. The parameters observed during 40 days of observation are: survival and growth rate, and the daily of length and weight growth. During the observed, fish are given an artificial feed as much as 5% of body weight per day. Feeding frequency are 3 times a day which are at 09.00, 13.00, and 17.00 WIB. The method used is Completely Randomized Design with the treatment of stocking density 1 fish/liter (P1), 3 fish/2liter (P2), and 2 fish/liter (P3). Treatment P1 shows the best of daily length and weight growth. Treatment P3 shows the lowest of daily length and weight growth. Stocking density significantly affected on the daily length and weight growth rate, but did not significantly affect on survival rate. Tukey result has showed that the treatment P2 dan P3 significantly different from P1.
