dc.description.abstractKoi (Cyprinus carpio) is one type of fish that can be cultivated to serve as ornamental fish. As ornamental fish, koi fish that have beautiful and bright colors can behigh value. To maintain the color of ornamental fish is done giving natural dyes in the feed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of astaxanthin, carrots and spirulina powder and determine the best effect on the brightness of the colors on koi fish. This study uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments: T (without giving dyes), W (carrots), S (spirulina) and A (astaxanthin) each dose of 3% and three replications. Data were analyzed with ANOVA system. The results showed that the addition of coloring material effect on the brightness of the color of the fish. The best colors are on the increase in treatment A with a value of 0.9733.en_US
