dc.description.abstractBali Beach is a beach located in Batu Bara with an area of approximately 637.22 ha which is a coastal area about 30.6% of the total area of its territory. This study aims to determine the potential of mangrove ecosystem ecotourism as an object, calculate the suitability and mangrove eco-tourism carrying capacity, inventory of facilities and supporting infrastructure in Bali Beach and create patterns of mangrove ecotourism management at Bali Beach. Potential of mangrove obtained by transect measurements of mangrove while the tour suitability obtained by using mangrove ecotourism suitability criteria and supported by interviews with the community and visitors to establish the carrying capacity of the area and the concept of management. The study was conducted in March to April 2014. The method used was purposive sampling for potential mangrove and interviews. Stations used consisted of the first station (located in the eastern part of Bali Beach), station II (located in the middle of Bali Beach) and station III(located at the West Coast of Bali Beach). Mangrove species found include: Excoecaria agallocha, Avicennia marina, A. lanata, Bruguiera sexangula, B. cylindrica, Rhizophora mucronata, Aegiceras corniculatum, A. Officinalis, R. stylosa, Ceriops tagal with a population density values exceeding 1000 trees / ha. Suitability Index tour of mangrove 69.23% at the station I Unconditional Under category, 94.87% at station II and III to Category Match. Carrying capacity (DDK) of 8 persons / day on the first station, 37 people / day at station II and 16 persons / day at station III. The concept of ecotourism management determined Bali beach entirely to local governments and gives permission to the public as the manageren_US
