Komunitas Makrozoobentos sebagai Bioindikator Kualitas Perairan Kecamatan Pantai Labu Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Kecamatan Pantai Labu is a coastal area which has been developing their utilization by various human activities which affect the water quality. The study of the water quality can be known by biological analysis such as macrozoobenthos. This research aims to analyze the water quality in Pantai Labu from the various activities by the diversity index of macrozoobenthos and the pollution index and to know the macrozoobenthos communities in Pantai Labu waters. The research includes retrieval and identification of macrozoobenthos and measurements of water physical - chemical parameters. The data analysis includes K, KR, FK, H ', E', IS macrozoobenthos, analysis of water physical chemiscal parameters, Pearson correlation analysis SPSS 21.0, and Pollution Index. The results showed that in Kecamatan Pantai Labu waters, there are 5 classes that consisting of 37 species. Station 1 has a high diversity of macrozoobenthos, station 2 and station 3 has a low diversity. The community analysis stated that the every station has no resemblance species inter point. By the pollution index, it is known that the station 1 is in good categories because has the IP value 0.855 as their value and thr station 2 has IP 0.967 as their value and also in good catagories, meanwhile the station 3 is in lightly polluted categorized because has IP 1,005
