Yellow trevally fish is one of the economically important fish species.fish
Theseare used as raw materials processed fishery products such asfish,
salted grilled fish, boiled, fishmeal and surimi. Besides these fish are also
traded in a fresh state. Based on the statisticsfisheries
of the oceanFishery Port of Belawan 2011-2016 decline in production
and an increase in fishing effort that resulted in catch per unit
effort (CPUE) declined yellow trevally fish. The condition is feared to intrusive
yellow trevally fish resource sustainability, so that the necessary their basic
yellow trevally fish management in order to remain optimal, sustainable and
among other sustainable approach to biology reproduction.
Research on the biological aspects of reproduction yellow trevally fish are
still rare. Therefore, this study aims to know some aspects of the reproductive
biology of fish yellow trevally. Biological aspects of reproduction covers the
frequency distribution of the length, length relationship weight, the size of the first
ripe gonads, sex ratio, gonad maturity level (TKG), gonad maturity index (IKG),
the diameter of the eggs and the fecundity and histology. The method used is the
method of fieldsurvey.Data primer used is long and body weight, gonad weight
and fecundity obtained from the results of sampling in the field. Data is collected
from March-May 2017 with an interval of 30 days. Fishing using fishing methods
representing the entire class size long. Fish obtained as many as 360 birds.
Secondary data was collected from Fishing Statistical Report PPS Belawan
amount of production, and fishing effort of the year 2011-2016.
The results showed the frequency of fish length of 110 mm - 163 mm.
Character growth negative allometric with a correlation coefficient (r) males and
females close to 1 that each - each 0.812 and 0.733. Aspects of reproduction in

Yellow females larger than males Yellow Selar fish. Gonad maturity level
obtained by the I, II, III, and IV. The first measure Selar fish gonads mature males
