The research about Macrozoobenthos Diversity as a Bioindicator of
Pollution of River Water Quality in the Village Sunggal Srigunting North
Sumatera have been done in May - June 2014. Sampel were collected from
three stations by Purposive Random Sampling method. Surber net was used to
taken the sampel. Sampel wereidentified in Laboratory Terpadu Management
Aquatic Resourse Faculty of Agriculture of North Sumatera University.
The result showed that there were found four classes (Oligochaeta,
Crustacea, Bivalvia, dan Gastropoda) within 14 genera of Macrozoobenthic.
Goniobasis has the highest density index with 222,22 ind/m2 that was founded in
second station, and Branchiora as the lowest density index founded in third
station. The highest Index Diversity (H’) was founded at third station with 2,24
and the lowest value was founded at first stasion with 1,35. According to analysis
of Storet method, Temperature, Ligh penetration, DO, pH, BOD, nitrat, phospate,
and Organic Substrat still meet water quality standards appropriate Goverment
Regulation No.82 of 2001.
