Pengaruh Pemberian Pakan Jagung (Zea mays) terhadap Pertumbuhan Ikan Mas (Cyprinus carpio) di Desa Tanjung Mulia Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Goldfish (Cypirinus carpio) is fish consumption that has high economic value and suitable for cultivationed and very popular fish in the community, in the cultivation of gold fish, factor constraint is feed, where the pellet feed used to the people has high price so that many farmer provide supplemental feed to replace the pellet consumption. Supplemental feed used is maize (Zea mays). This research purposed to know, combine and determine dosage of maize with suitable pellet for the goldfish and to know the difference size and weight of goldfish. Sample fish measuring 8-12 cm with weight 28-30 gram, protected in the pond which gived 9 screens, each screen measuring 1.4 x 5 meter with 1 meter of water volume and each screen put 50 sample goldfish. Design of this research is randomized block design (RBD) by giving maize treatment 1%, 2%, 3% of the body weight of fish and using pellet as much as 3% for all treatment. The result of this research showed giving maize 3% experience increase length with the average 16-18 cm and weight with the average 170 gram /tail than the first length and weight.
