dc.description.abstract | High market demand for Fur shells (A. gubernaculum), tends to the
increase to greater catching capacity in decreaseing population. The aims of this
study were to determine the growth and rate of exploitation of Fur Shells (A.
gubernaculum) in Tanjungbalai Waters. This study was conducted for 1 Month 14
Days from October to November 2016. Data analyzed used ELEFAN I method
(Electronic Lenght Frequencys Assesment Tool) by using FiSAT II (FAO-
ICLARM Fish Stock Assesment Tool) software.Fur shells obtained 855
individu. The growth pattern of Fur shells is negative allometric. Negative
allometric means long accretion faster than its weight gain. The range of condition
factor was 0,81 – 2,15.The frequency distribution of the Fur Shells ranges from 14
to 43 mm, the dominant size group was 20 - 22 mm. The prediction of growth
parameter Von Bertalanfy showed asimtot length (L∞) is 43.05 mm , the growth
coefficient (K) is 1.2 / year and the theoretical life (t 0 ) of the Fur Shells is -
0.12..The total Mortality (Z) of Fur Shells was 2.77 per year. Natural mortality
estimation rate (M) was 1.9 per year. The conclutionwas result of prediction
exploitation rate of Fur Shells is 0.31 per year. | en_US |
