dc.description.abstractDarwana : Review of Tertiary Irrigation Canals in the Kuala Simeme village Namorambe, Deli Serdang district, supervised by SUMONO and NAZIF ICHWAN. The distribution system of water in the field of Kuala Simeme villages is done throught tertiary canal (a soil canal). This can resulted in water loss throught evapotranspiration, percolation and seepage so that effecting the efficiency of water distribution. Factor-factor of water losses the seepage coefficient is more difficult to determine. This research was aimed to study the value of the seepage coefficient using empirical formulas in two tertiary canals in Kuala Simeme village, Namorambe district of Deli Serdang. The result showed that seepage coefficient in the right edge of the first canal was 3.775,68 mm/day, and the left edge was 10.368.8 mm/day, at the right edge of second canal was 34.621,51 mm/day, and the left edge was 9.562,13 mm/day. Efficiency on first that canal and second canal were 91,02% and 81,02%en_US
