Deskripsi Pertunjukan musik oleh Breakthru Band di Kota Medan

Abstract

Breakthru Band is one of medan's bands with (genre) Rock Fusion. This band is one of the bands that influenced the development of music in the city of Medan. Breakthru Band has earned many awards as well as often won prestigious music competitions. The awards that have been achieved by the Breakthru Band are: 1. Successfully won first place in the Asian Beat Festival competition organized by Yamaha Musik in Singapore. The purpose of this study is to describe the performances performed by the Breakthru Band and describe the structure and form of the music performed by the Breakthru Band. the theory used in this paper is the theory of performance and the theory of weighted scale proposed by Wiilliam P.Malm. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method. The results obtained showed that the performances carried out in advance were prepared activity planning for at least 2 months until the performance performance was carried out and the planning of the activity consisted of determining the theme of the song, determining the date of rehearsal, arrangement, performance venue, post-staging stage, namely evaluation. In the medley song Goodbye, Januari, Jodoh pasti bertemu must have met the author has analyzed each note in the song and got the basic notes of this song are B (goodbye), G (januari), D (jodoh pasti bertemu).
