dc.description.abstractSoybean is one of the multifunction beans because it can be used as food, feed, and even as industry material. In Indonesia, the soybean is used only for food and feed. The soybean products are tofu, tempeh, soysauce, fermented bean paste used as condiment, etc. One of the well known product from soybean is tofu. Nowadays, all of the tofu entrepreneur still using traditional way in milling soybean. So that the quantity and quality of essence of soybean produced is less satisfying. To solve the problem, the writer tried to develop an electric soybean mill. The purpose of this research was to design and make soybean mill’s equipment. The results of this research, were milling capacity was 14,49 kg/hour; percentage of soybeans left in the stone mill was 9,3%; soybean meal percentage was 47,3%; the amount of water needed in the milling was 1,12 liters/ kg and the cost of soybean milling was Rp.389,80-/kg.en_US
