dc.description.abstract | Transgenic fish is a species that are changing the genetic structure
introduced from other organisms to alter their genetic function in accordance with
the introduced gene. One of the things that support the development of transgenic
fish strain formation is the ability of individual transgenic transgenes to bequeath
to the next generation, so that the genetic trait target genes remain stable in the
resulting offspring. This study aims to detect and determine the expression of
growth hormone gene (PhGH) on dumbo catfish (Clarias gariepinus) transgenic
F3 that resulting from the F2 generation. Transgene detection performed on
embryos and larvae of catfish transgenic F3 using PCR with primers ACT 107
and PhGH2. Transgene expression was analyzed by using reverse transcriptase
polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) with primers β-actin and ACT 107 and
PhGH2. The results showed that the transgene was detected in some of the
embryos and larvae with a size of 1500 bp fragment. β-actin primer amplification
compared to primary ACT 107 and PhGH2 showed that transgene can be
expressed in some of the embryos and larvae with a size of 1500 bp fragment. | en_US |
