| dc.description.abstract | Hospital waste is recognized as waste material which may cause
environmental health problems due to a variety of materials contained in it can cause
health effects for patients, visitors, employees who handle, and even the people
around him. General Hospital (Hospital) Langsa to date medical management of
both solid waste and liquid has not been properly managed, the existing incenerator
can not functioned this is due to the distance water treatment and incinerator is only
3 (three) meters, while for processing of liquid medical waste are still using manual
system that is by septitank.
This study is an explanatory survey research aimed to analyze and explain the
influence of local perceptions of medical waste to the approval of the proposed
budget in the General Hospital (Hospital) Langsa. The population in this study were
all policy makers, amounting to as many as 26 people and as well as a sample. Data
collection methods include primary data through interviews and observations and
secondary data from records and documents Langsa Hospital and analyzed with
logistic regression.
Statistical test results show of the four variables (knowledge, beliefs,
expectations and information) variables that influence beliefs budget proposal
approved medical waste in the City General Hospital Langsa.
Recommended to the City Hospital Langsa to enhance the understanding of
medical waste for the respondents, giving a positive action as the Hospital for
approve the proposed budget on medical waste, and respondents also expected to be
a counselor on Hospital waste such as campaigning for the impact of the dangers of
