As technology develops, there is a large volume of vehicles circulating on the streets,
one of which is a car. The wasted kinetic energy of a moving car can be utilized into
useful energy by utilizing the speed bump. The purpose of this research is to utilize
the harvesting energy system that is passed by the car to generate electrical energy in
order to obtain voltage, power and current that can be stored in the battery and can be
used for everyday life. This study conducted a run-off test using two variables,
namely the type and speed of the car. The type of car used is the Honda CR-V and
Hyundai Sonata. The speeds used in this study are 10-15 km/hour and 20-25 km/hour.
The results of the run-off test in this study obtained the highest voltage value of 66.84
Volts, 372 rpm rotation, and 87.0495 Watts of power. Energy efficiency in the
harvesting energy system obtained the largest 71.74% and the smallest 60.67%. The
results of the variable analysis (ANOVA) obtained the effect of the variable type of
car on the electric power of 70.8% and the influence of the variable speed of the car
on the electric power of 87.7%. In the interaction between the variables of the type of
car and the speed of the car, it has a significance value of 0.951, meaning that
between the variables of the type of car and the speed of the car, there is no different
value for the results of the electrical power on the mechanical speed bump system.
From the results of the run-off test, it can be concluded that every type of car and
every speed used can charge the battery so that the electrical energy in the battery can
be used for daily life
