| dc.description.abstract | The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of counseling communication on the Prevention and Eradication of Narcotics Abuse and Illicit Trafficking carried out by the National Narcotics Agency of Serdang Bedagai Regency towards Public Awareness and Participation in the Serdang Bedagai Regency. The research uses theories of communication, awareness, and community participation. This is a correlational research method with a quantitative approach. The population in this research is the people of Serdang Bedagai Regency who are living in the Perbaungan and Sei Rampah Subdistricts with productive ages of 15-64 years. The sampling techniques are proportionate stratified random sampling, purposive sampling, and accidental sampling calculated by the Taro Yamane formula to obtain 399 people as the samples. The data are collected using questionnaires with the Likert scale and the analysis of the correlation between variables is carried out using the Spearman correlation test. The research results show that the Counseling Communication on Prevention and Eradication of Narcotics Abuse and Illicit Trafficking carried out by the National Narcotics Agency of Serdang Bedagai Regency has an effect on Public Awareness and Participation in Serdang Bedagai Regency with a significant correlation and a positive and unidirectional significance value. | en_US |
