dc.description.abstract | Many activities around Cermin Beach feared
of mollusca (bivalvia and gastropoda) in
Cermin Beach, North Sumatera. Under guided YUNASFI and ANI SURYANTI.
can alter the water quality of
Cermin Beach. Information and understanding of environmental change is
indispensable in ecosystem monitoring efforts. This research aims to determine
the status of the water quality seen on characteristics of chemical physics and
community structure of moluska (bivalvia and gastropoda) in Cermin Beach,
North Sumatera
The result showed
. This research had been conducted on Juni – July 2013 in Cermin
Beach, sub-district Pantai Cermin, Serdang Bedagai District, North Sumatera.
There are three station research, Station 1 : Tourism activities area; station 2 :
around the mangroves area; station 3: around estuary area. There are three
sampling in 2 months.
quality of waters Cermin Beach seen from the pollution
index includes a light polluted class. There are 28 genera of mollusca consist of
16 genera from bivalvia class and 12 genera from gastropoda class. Mollusca
abundance data in station 1 is 35.527 ind/m3, in station 2 is 19.961 ind/m3 and in
station 3 is 101.544 ind/m3. From abundance data in 3 stations showed diversity
criteria, the spread of the number of individuals and community stability classified
as moderate. Similarity index in three station still moderate, similarity values in 3
station is 0,4. Dominance index values showed 0,19, 0,15, and 0,11 for three
station. It means, there is no type that dominate. | en_US |
