Struktur Komunitas Makrozoobenthos di Danau Pondok Lapan Kecamatan Salapian Kabupaten Langkat

Abstract

The lake of Pondok Lapan is an artificial lake located in the hamlet Pulka at Salapian District of Langkat. This lake of Pondok Lapan located between the oil palm plantations. This lake was originally made for irrigation or agricultural irrigation. However, the surrounding communities do not have the will to farm, they prefer to gardening such as palm oil and rubber. This research focused on community structure of macrozoobenthos and measurement of physical and chemical factors . This research was conducted from January to March 2015. Macrozoobenthos retrieval used Eckman grabb and Surber net, samples are sorted by using the method Hand sorting. The sample were obtained in the laboratory identified the integrated USU. This research resulted in first class Gastropoda which is composed of three species, namely Pomacea canaliculata, Bithynia tentaculata and Campeloma decisum. The highest density of species found in Bithynia tentaculata with a value of 102 ind / m2 were found in station I and the lowest was from the spesies Campeloma decisum with a value of 36 ind/m2 found at station II and IV. The highest diversity of species ( H ' ) contained in the station III with a value of 0,59 and the lowest at station IV with a value of 0,13.
