Uji Daya Hambat Ekstrak Kulit Batang Rhizophora mucronata Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bakteri Aeromonas hydrophila, Streptococcus agalactiae dan Jamur Saprolegnia sp. Secara In Vitro

Abstract

This reseach head to determine antimicrobial potential of stem bark extract Rhizophora mucronata again bacterial pathogens of Aeromonas hydrophila, Streptococcus agalactiae and fungus Saprolegnia sp. and determine the level of toxicity against Artemia Salina Leach. Extraction was done by a single maceration using methanol solvent, ethyl acetate solvent and n-hexane solvent. Phytochemical test conducted on all extracts. Toxicity test was conducted using Brine Shrimp Lethality Test. Antimicrobial activity test was done by the agar diffusion method. The result of simplicia bark powder Rhizophora mucronata test showed compound of class alkaloid, tannin, steroid/terpenoid and saponin. The result of this research showed the extact of that three bark of Rhizophora mucronata active against A. salina. The result showed that ethyl acetate extract was the most toxic ectract. The antimicrobial activity is characterized by the formation of clear zone around the disc. The test result showed ethyl acetate extract of R. mucronata stem bark was broad-spectrum antimicrobial because it was able to inhibit the growth of all the experimental microbes.
