Abstract

This research is about the social conflict between characters in Roy Chow's Wǒmen Yǒng Bù Yán Qì film. This study aims to describe the form of social conflict and the description of the main character who has a social conflict with other characters in the Wǒmen Yǒng Bù Yán Qì film. The method used to analyze this research is the descriptive qualitative method. This study uses the Setiadi and Kolip conflict theory. The results of this study are the forms of social conflict contained in the movie Wǒmen Yǒng Bù Yán Qì in the form of interpersonal social conflicts, social conflicts of interest, social conflicts between groups, and social conflicts between classes. The depiction of the main character having social conflict with other characters includes the conflict between Zhōu Shǐ and the Hotel Keeper, Zhōu Shǐ and Madam Fang, Zhōu Shǐ and Manager, Zhōu Shǐ and Zhou Zizai, and Zhōu Shǐ and Feng.
