Kajian Unit Penangkapan Purse Seine di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Belawan (PPSB)

Abstract

Indonesia is rich of fishery resourches, but for this time is being exploited in many ways, one of them by using catcher equipment. For that reason, a research has been done in Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Belawan in July – September 2013 from statistic data in Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Belawan and seeing the purse seine boat and the way of using it by interviewing the fishermen. The using of purse seine in Belawan is the most than the other catcher equipment, that’s why the writer wants to see the business analysis of the purse seine. The result of the research shows that the using of purse seine is one of the catching way without destroying the sea because it is used far from coral reef. The business analysis is also showing that the purse seine is giving profit, the fishery product is kind of pelagic fishes and is not exlpoited too much.
