    Abstract
Business feasibility analysis and selectivity of purse seine gear and 30 GT gill net determine that a fishery fishery business can be developed because it is profitable, or can not continue because of the result of losing business. The purpose of this research is to know the description of purse seine and gill net, to know the feasibility of business by calculating the value of productivity by analyzing the financial aspect and technical aspect, to know the selectivity of purse seine and nets Gill (net) on the catch of 30 GT Ship in Sibolga Waters of North Sumatra Province. This research was conducted for 2 months, March - April 2017. Method used survey method and experimental fishing (direct capture test). The results showed the length of the purse seine net about 300 - 500 m for the 30 GT vessel called the sealed trawl. The gill net for the length of 1 set of nets is 100 m consisting of 100 - 125 sets often called malong nets. The business feasibility of both fishing gear is Rp 581,801,800 - Rp 1,229,061,240 per year for purse seine and about Rp 586,508,000 - Rp 845,174,000 for gill net with 18 trips / year trip. Purse seine purse seal measuring 2 cm selectively against the type of Fish Layang ((Decapterus spp.) As much as 8573 tail or 22.4% fork length size 20.0 - 30.0 cm, average 25.525 cm, Cakalang Fish (Katsuwonus pelamis) as much as 3300 heads or 8.6% has a fork length of 25.0 - 40.0 cm, an average of 31.061 cm and 4215 or 11.02% of flatulent (Ratrelliger spp.) Fork length 15, 0 - 26.0.Gill net mesh size mesh size 7 cm most selective against Red Fish 9445 fish or 30,093% from total catch amount 31386 tail, bottom gill net on Mesh size 6.5 cm and 7 cm selective on fork length 20,248 cm and 21,805 cm
