SHELL VOUR SEMBIRING: Optimization of agricultural polymer waste
processing equipment to produce fuel, supervised by RISWANTI
SIGALINGGING and ADIAN RINDANG.
The methods to convert waste plastics into fuel was plastic pyrolysis. The
research has been conducted to optimize the yield of polymer waste processing
equipment by redesigning the previous one, with coconut shell fuels and
polypropylene raw materials. This study aimed to optimize polymer waste
processing equipment so the increase of the yield of 16% to 24% with the
effective capacity of the equipment was 153.33 ml/h. The primary cost of the first
year until the fifth year in a row was Rp. 15,758.51 / ml, Rp. 15,953.75 / ml, Rp.
16.156.48 / ml, Rp. 16,367.50 / ml and Rp. 16.568.94 / ml. This equipment
achieves break-even point value (BEP) if it has produced oil of 200,15 ml/year.
Net present value (NPV) of Rp. 52,550,069.87. The internal rate of return (IRR) is
26.5%.
